    Label related playback problem

    Hello everybody,

I'm writing from Portugal, and this is my first paticipation in a International Forum.

Like most of you a like movies, I like DVD's and I copy them as often as I can (my original backups naturally).

As any of you ever experienced a problem of playback related to DVD Labels?

I've labeled about 20 of my copies aind now they don't work.
Is it necessary to remove all the labels?

    Tanks for your opinion!

a very current topic Spitfire! Welcome
I'd remove say, a couple and see if that restores functionality but I have read elsewhere that one or more people got their disks working again by doing this.
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!

In fact I have already removed 6 labels on the problem discs and they are working again.

I guess I must try printable discs with my printer (Epson Stylus Photo R300). These of course are more expensive, and hard to find here in Portugal... Tank you for your help!

        spit-fire,

the labels are a bad idea. On most if not all of the later and new dvd writers, the company says not to put labels on the discs.

meritline.com (California) has a cd/dvd printer EZCD printer (epson), but I don't know what shipping charges are.
