DVD Players for P233

I have a P233 laptop, and am having ridiculous amounts of difficulty attempting to find a simple DVD player that will actually *work* on it. Barely any players seem to list required specs, and those that do always require at least a P266. Could anyone suggest one that might be suitable? I need one pretty quickly, as I'm disappearing for six weeks from Sunday and could do with being able to watch DVDs, as I'll be pretty much bed-bound...

Though you ask for such a player, it seems it would have to be an old version which might cause problems playing D-9's, so would be a waste of money, really.

If your laptop is working good, 'tis time for a Processor upgrade. They are ridicously cheap, about the same price as a good software player. Seems Doom9,org or .net has a link to a free software dvd player download. You could check for the link, there.

A magnifying glass and a pair of reading glasses makes a processor install easy, make sure upgrade any heatsink, etc..
