    WinDVD Recorder

Anyone using WinDVD Recorder to record TV directly to a DVD rather than HD?

    I am.

I use it with my Pinnacle pctv rave card but windvd recorder doesn't find all channels.
It finds channels only automaticky and I can't search them manualy.
Someone knows how to solve this?

I haven't found any way around using auto-scan. It picks up all my channels just fine. I am having trouble recording direct from tv tuner card to DVD+RW. Have you tried to do this?

I've not looked at WinDVD Recorder but I very much doubt it can make a DVD compliant disk on-the-fly as the format requires a structure of files relating to each other.
What you might be able to do is burn in data mode an mpeg2 stream but this will only replay in a PC.
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!

The channels that were found I've tried to burn direct to dvd and it works just fine for me. I puts every time you record something in a row and when playing on my standalone player I can skip them like chapters just like a hardware dvd recorder.

I still can't get all my channels and I don't know why because other programs like dscaler and pctv vision find them all.

I use Philips and Nashua discs.
I have a Philips DVDRW 228 dvd burner.
