Watching DVD's on work laptop- How?

I have a work laptop with DVD ROM, the IT guys don't like people installing DVD Players because then everyone will want to do it.

My question is are there any players which do not affect registry, i.e. do not leave a record of them being installed. The laptop is 2Ghz and running Win2000.

Any ideas appreciated!

search the download section here, find a dvd/mpeg2 codec just install it , ur media player will play dvd's.
but it will go into registry
