Pinnacle Studio 8 - Capture Error.

Hi,
Im using Pinnacle Studio 8, the picture is showing up, the sound is playing, etc. everything seems fine...
... then I go to "Start Capture" and I get a "Capture Error" message, which I can only OK, I get no information what so ever?

I know this is probably a really easily solved problem, and its very n00bish of me asking, but I'd SERIOUSLY appreciate any help, I have been trying to fix this for two weeks and people are getting VERY annoyed with me.

I installed 8.14 update, and now when I press OK to Start Recording it closes down.

I had the same exact error with the stupid piece of software. I think it happened because I started the program without the hardware connected. The only answer is to uninstall, then reinstall the software. So yeah, do that and then apply the patch before you run the program.

What a wonderful patch eh? It gets you from "capture error" to to no error at all. In fact, the program just closes itself.
