    DVD wont play if labelled??

Have burned quite a few DVDs (Verbatum) using DVDshrink3.1, both authored and full disk, with compression set at auto, and some with it set manually to compress more and avoid burning right to the edge of the disk. This seemd to work fine, and the disks play ok on my standalone Denon 2200 b4 I stick labels on, BUT after labelling (Pressit labels and proper stomper label gizmo) they dont play!! Might start and then judder and stick etc. NE1 had this problem? and what is the solution?? TIA
