I recently got a dvd drive and I am unclear about how to use DTS. I can play dolby digital fine, but if I select DTS, I dont get any audio. This is the case whether I run my speakers through usb or my motherboard's integrated AD1985. Am I correct to assume I cant play DTS because I dont have a hardware decoder? Is there any software decoder I can use?

Basically, yes. However, if you use the WinDVD software DVD player, it will convert the DTS audiostream on the fly to something you can hear...
