    Playback lags (anyone encountered this)

    Latley i played a backup of my dvd which was originally 8.2 and fitted it into a 4.7 using shrink.I burned with nero and when i play back the some movie parts stick or lag ??

    Is this normal The media is +R i have a and my dvd is new and not fully compatible.The dvd format is udf.

    Yeah this happens to me aswell.

    Does it go all blocky and it sometimes just stops?

    I think its the media you and I may be using is dodgy.

      I always try it on a ReWriteable first, especially if I'm shrinking.

        Might be, I think also that its because of the high fragmentation on the hdd or perhaps of some programs running whilst burning.What media are you using and is it + or -

          Im using Sony DVD-R

          for some reason my DVD player dosent play DVD+R

            One of my players does play them -R but with this lag problem on some dvd's.

              I'm using bulkpaq I can't find VERBATIM +r they sound the best according to some people.

                most bulkpaq' I've come across, including the first batch I every bought turned out to be Princos

                      I said what are princos because on the disc there is written MNUFACTURED BY RITEK.

                      So what they are made by PRINCO what do you mean by that ?

                        I misunderstood. You said Bulkpaq and I assumed they were as so often appears here, Princo.

                            With Bulkpaq PRINCO I never had success.
                            My NEC 1300A despite NEC stipulating PRINCO support with one of their firmware upgrades* never acknowledged media inserted with an entire 25x drum of things ... which I have subsequently sold on to a colleague who says his TDK burner works fine with them.

                            *tried firmwares 1.07, 1.08, 1.09, 1.0A & Herries 1.08(?)

                              Well i don't want to do any firwares upgrades cause the one i have is fine and worked well with data.I will try verbatim never had problems with them and i wish it will work fine with them.
