LG HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM 4081b

I have an LG dvd-ram drive.
When I ran cdvdinfo on it, it said the drive is a LG HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM 4081b with firmware revision A100.
I found an RPC1 firmware patch marked LG HL-DT-ST 4081b based on A100 at dangerousbrothers.
Does anyone have any experience with this patch?

The Administrator of that website states clearly what you need to do, although there is a suitable patch
That won't mean that when installing it it will always be successful ,sometimes it may fail the operation and since you are
patching a vital part of you drive you will end up in ruining you drive permanently.

Think for a while and if you feel confident patch it ,if the rpc is there it eventually means that has been tested and working, the problem is the way you install it.No matter how many people tell you it worked or not its a question of how you will install it cuz the rpc works for sure.
