perfect sound, but no video on playback!

I have been searching like everywhere on the web and in forums about this and i just cant seem to find it, or im not looking hard enough
But i downloaded a movie today, and when i play it, like the subject says, no video but theres sound. Then i even downloaded a DivX movie player and still didn't work. So how can i fix this problem?

u need codec, most used is divx. or find what codec ur file is encoded with.
