lgdrn8080b firmware needed! please help!

A friend tried to help me with some DVD playback problems I was having with my Presario 700us (lgdrn8080b) and he downloaded the version 2.xx firmware update from HP/Compaq. It creates a bootable disk and upgrades the firmware. I already had version 4.xx but he unknowingly overwrote it so now I have the 2.xx outdated version and even more problems. I contacted HP but they were no help. I would like to get it back to the original 4.xx version but don't know where to get the firmware. does anyone know the website for LG? or know where to find the latest firmware? I'm in california. Please help, I'm at a loss. thanks. Fred
