    Frequent pauses during playback

I just ripped an animated disney movie using smartripper 2.41 and processed it through ifoedit, got rid of everything I didn't need, created new video_ts and new .vob files and then got vectors. It runs about 4G's total. Right before I burned it, I tested everything through PowerDVD and it played back fine. Used Prassi to test and burn. Now that I have a burned DVD-R, my stand alone player AND my dvd player in my computer play back the burned dvd but they both experience frequent short pauses and every once in a while you will see small groups of colored squares show up on the screen.

How can I avoid this so that it will playback on my stand alone player correctly?

Would it help if I used a different ripper and/or different burner?

    Problem after using IFOedit

    Hi,

I'm having the same problem. Also with a Disney movie. It played fine in Power DVD 4 but then after I used IFOedit to correct the IFO pointers I played the movie in PowerDVD 4 again and the movie pauses, skips a little and displays colored squares (large pixels).

I've backed up at least a dozen movies the same way with no problem. But now the last three that I've tried to back up have the same problem. I just reformatted my hard drive recently and reinstalled my operating system, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I have no problem at all if the movies are less than 4.6GB and don't require the use of IFOedit. The problems only occur after using IFO edit.
