PAL playback on a U.S. PC?

Hi,

Anyone know if you can you play a PAL format DVD in the U.S. on a typical Windows based PC with a DVD drive.

I know you can't on a stand alone NTSC DVD player and TV but does it matter on a computer?

Most certainly. Your PC and its multi-synch monitor are perfectly capable of playing both PAL and NTSC format...

Keep in mind though that if the PAL DVD is region-protected, the computer drive will need a region-free firmware.
