WinDVD on laptop colour reversal

Have WinDVD running on Fujitsu Siemens laptop - images being displayed in negative (blues rendered black and blacks rendered blue).

What goes on, and what is solution?

Check the color settings from within WinDVD...

Thanks for that - local repairer reckons it may be a loose cable connection, as it seems to come and go when the screen on the laptop is moved into different positions.
