    Help please

    Hi,
    I got a Toshiba SD-M1502 DVD-Rom.
I installed the firmwire and flashed it from 1008 to 1816.
I tried using every dvd region killer program there is (dvd genie, windvd, planet dvd, free region+css and more), none of those worked.
When I enter a dvd the little light flashes and after a while it becomes stable. meaning it can't read the dvd.
when I try accessing the drive it says the disc is not formatted.
another thing I've noticed is that in device manager, when I click on the DVD's properties - The DVD tab is missing.
    what should I do?

    I'm using win2k @ P4 2.4, 256ddr, ATI radeon 9000.

    thanks in advance.

p.s - evertyhing seems to be in place
I used dvdinfo and it said: no lock found.

Your drive seems to be unoperatable due to bad flashing, to verify that the rom chip can still be accessed try using a newer or older firmware, if it flashes it means that your drive can still be rescued, if not consider spare parts !

It can read regular CD's.. even CD-R's.
      Also, I can't find my original f/w - 1008.
      What should I do?

"Official" firmware versions 1010 and 1012 available here:

-- should be compatible with your drive.
