I realise this may be quite a generic question to ask, but regarding digital audio playback I don't know one thing from another
I have my DVD player running through my VCR via a SCART cable, and the VCR to the tv through the aerial out lead (the tv doesn't have a SCART socket). I notice when I watch DVDs the volume is quite low, even at the player's highest, so I have to turn the TV up which results in that horrible background hiss. This has been the case for a few DVD players I've tried, including my PS2.
What'd be a good way to get clearer sound at a higher volume? I understand that there's a loss when digital audio is ran through an analogue receiver such as the speakers on my old tv, but not sure of the best way to get around that. Seperate speakers? A more modern tv?
Any advice or recommendations appreciated
