The I/O Magic (IDVDRW8D) installed in my pc, asks to be set to Region 1 each time I try to play a regular, rented DVD.
I've already lost 2 region changes because the selection doesn't stick and resets to "Not Selected" after each dvd.
Setting the region to 1 in the device manager hasn't helped, either, and the only suggestion I/O Magic tech support had, was to download PowerDVD, and see if that works, instead of WinDVD, which came with the player.
Does anyone have any other ideas what I could try?
I just want to be able to play regular region 1 dvds, but am afraid the player will lock up after the 4rth dvd and be unusable.
Burning dvds and cds works without problems.
