powerDVD internal error code 8901000F

    powerDVD internal error code 8901000F

    Hi I just installed PowerDvd on my system but when I load the program I get the splash screen and the interface when I click on the play button I get this internal error code 8901000F I just wondered if any one has come across this before ?

    I have to admit I did use DVD genie and Cdvdinfo progs yesterday to find if my drive could be made playable in all regions but this surely carnt have effected the drive ?

    Any help any one can give would be gratefully recived

      Do you have an NVIDIA card? I remember once I updated my video card drivers and I couldn't get DVD playback when my cable was connected to the TV or something like that, and it had to do with the TV chip... I don't remember the error number, though...

        Regarding error code "8901000F"

        I got this from power dvd's website

        Regarding error code "8901000F", please follow the steps below to fix it:

        (1) Please uninstall PowerDVD (by following steps) --> reinstall PowerDVD

        (a) Start --> Programs --> Cyberlink PowerDVD (uninstall it)
        (b) Start --> Run (keyin "regedit") --> HKEY_Current_User --> Software --> Cyberlink --> PowerDVD and/or PDVD (delete the folder)
        (c) Start --> Run (keyin "regedit") --> HKEY_Local_Machine --> Software --> Cyberlink --> PowerDVD and/or PDVD (delete the folder)


        (2) Re-install PowerDVD program and patch file

          when i first upgraded to xp i had a similar type, re-installing it solved the problem. (i don't know what happenned, and franky don't wanna know)
