    Cannot play a movie

I am in Canada. I got a DVD movie titled The Dora Explorer: Dora's Halloween. I cannot play it using the PC. I am using WinDVD on Windows XP Pro. I can put the DVD to the drive, but when I started WinDVD, the DVD drive just reading and reading forever. I also tried using PowerDVD, the same thing.

I can play it using the physical DVD player. I also can play other DVD movie using the PC.

What protection is this DVD used? Anyone help?

    Thanks!

Is this a commercial (pressed) DVD, or a burned DVD (that you or someone else made)?

It is an original commercial DVD movie bought from a store.

Exchange it at the store from which it was purchased...

I doubt that I can do this, but I'll try.
Since I can play it using a physical DVD player, but not using the PC, this is not a good return reason. Also, the other copy may not play using a PC as well. The company may used a new technology to prevent it using on a PC.

          Thanks!
