Ulead VS 8.0

I have been using ulead VS 8. Recently though, i checked the properties of two movies i captured. What i noticed was that in the file box(from clip properties), one of the movies had :
File format: MPEG-2, Audio Type:LPCM Audio
and the other had:
File formatAL DVD, Audio Type: LPCM Audio.

I captured using the 'DVD' option, but i each i capture more footage, I cannot get 'MPEG-2' and 'LPCM Audio' together. It is always, DVD PAL and LPCM Audio. Can anyone help?
