Help with computer-TV video

I'm having trouble with displaying the video on the TV. I'm using an S-video cable from my video card (an nVidea card). The picture that is displayed is "bowed"...it is narrower at the top, so there are noticeable black areas at the top left and top right of the TV screen.

If I play a video on the computer, I get the same problem if I display the video on the TV.

Am I at the wrong resolution?
