DVD Shrink Problems

Please Help....

I recently installed DVD Shrink and I cannot get the software to work. I have an LG4480B DVD writer which is currently UK Region 2 (bought in UK). The software has downloaded OK and I can start the process off by inserting a DVD however when it gets to the stage of encoding the data and burning the DVD I get an error message:
"DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Copy Protection Error. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing software but to no avail. I have even tried different region discs, but everything works OK until the burning /back up stage!

Any ideas?

1) PLAY the original DVD for a moment, then PAUSE it. Then try using DVD Shrink.
If this doesn't resolve your situation, then

2) Use DVD Decrypter to "rip" the DVD to your hard drive in "File" mode - and from the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "All files" (NOT "movie files").

Then use DVD Shrink to "Open files" (NOT "Open Disk") - and select "VIDEO_TS.IFO"
