DVD (backup copy made with CloneDVD) will freeze ...

at around chapter 17/18, in my laptop Compaq Presario X1000, Centrino 1.3 GHZ, 512 RAM, 40 gigs, Mobility Radeon 9200 32MB shared, with DVD ROM.
I made my backups with CloneDVD2, and they play with no problem in any of my DVD players at home, but when I play my backupps in the laptop, they tend to freeze around chapter 17 or 18, and there is no way to make it to work. Laptop is brand new, only 6 months old, running WinXP Home with SP2.

Your laptop is probably "sensitive" to the brand and/or quality of the burnable media you are using.

Try using Ritek/Ridat or Verbatim...

By the way, do the ORIGINAL, COMMERCIAL DVDs play properly and all the way through on your laptop?

This is what I'm using for media 8X Ridata/Ritek. And yes, my originals play without any problem, all the way thru.
