Hi there,
I have some serious issues with PowerDVD 5. I've searched nearly the whole net, but have found no solution so far...
When I try to playback a DVD, playback hangs, the whole system indeed hangs, I have no choice but to terminate PowerDVD using the task manager...
The funny thing is, PowerDVD 4 works fine. Recently I had to set up my system anew, here is what I did:
Install Win 2000 + all Service Packs and Updates
Install DirectX 9.0c
latest Detonator driver for my Geforce 5700
PowerDVD 5 plus Update
I am not using a sepaate sound card, but the onboard sound of my Leadtek Winfast mainboard, connection is with a optical cable directly to my amp. Driver is up2date.
Still, the exact same problem. So I uninstalled PowerDVD 5 and tried again with PowerDVD 4 --> no problem at all...
I am wondering now, is it possible that I have to install something additionally (codecs etc.)?
Does anybody have a clue?
