    No video on TV output

Video (avi, mpeg, DVD) won't show up on the TV (secondary monitor) using, WinDVD, WMP, ATI player won't even move to the sec, This just started after a clean install of Win XP (still SP1)...Stats are below...Video out from PC is Component to Widescreen TV SPDIF out to surround sound receiver. I have installed latest DirectX 9.0c, Win media encoder, All ATI software.... reinstalled WinDVD....

It WILL work if I make the TV the Primary monitor, but this unacceptable! everything worked fine before the latest install, and this install should have been nearly identical to the last...although the order of software loading would have changed some .

Any ideas?? This machine is used priarily as a DVR, along with LOTSA rippin' & burnin'

In the display properties>settings>advanced box there is a tab called overlay. Click on 'clone mode options'. Have you adjusted the settings in this area? If not, try them and see.

Also, in the display tab (of the advanced box) is your TV recognised (it has to be turned on)? Click on troubleshoot and check 'force detection of my TV'

    Do you have hydravision installed?

    Hope these help.

@1GKar your suggestion is what I had to do to get my ATI AIW to work. Everytime I reboot I have to click the red tab on the tv in the displays setting.
