Getting DVD ROM working

Hello all

I borrowed a DVDROM off a friend, inserted it into my machine. Installed some ForceASPI software that someone recommended, he told me that it would make Win98FE recognise the DVD or something. Still no workies... anyone have any suggestions? Liteon DVDROM, Win98 FE, VaroDVD2000 as player. TIA

Most drives come with installation software.

Did you try using Win98's "install new hardware" facility from within the Control Panel?
