you will likely have to use a registered version to get rid of the ad, a re-convert again.....you can always try another program

" can I register the software to get rid of that ad??"

That's what you'll need to do...

"Also, my original .mpg file was 1.4 Gb and now has been reduced to 264 Mb."

You most likely chose a lower bitrate when you performed the conversion. Use the VCD setting for mpeg-1 (352 x 240 at 1150 kbps) or the DVD setting for mpeg-2.

        Hi,

I am still having sync problems with this file. It seems that the audio is at a slower rate than the video. Is this possible?? I thought that the audio just started some msecs afyter the video and they were out of sync, but as I use the audio gap correction, seems like it still won't sync up. I have used a value of +20 msec on the audio. Does this seem reasonable or should I be up in the hundreds of msces??

        Thanks,
