Morpheus and Donkey

Im using morpheus, and when i download a movie its so big it takes so long at only 1kb/s sometimes even less, anybody know how to makw the transfer rate any faster.

about the morpheus but yes about edonkey

(if you want to download movies, there is more divx in edonkey than in morpheus)

If you want a faster transfer rate get better inter net access. I have cable internet and with a papular movie I can get it in a couple hours or over night. I have gotten my internet up to 1 mb a second on a legal band concert trading program called Further.

I use DC. Morpheus, Kazaa are simply not worth it. I get slow downloads but a lot of spy ware.

I use DC and WinMX. However, I've heard lots about EDonkey. Can someone please explain how it works? and what types of download rates you can achieve?

Kazaa Has no Spy ware. Gnutella is the one that is full of spy ware.

Not true. Kazaa is full of surprises. But, there is one solution. Download Kazaa lite (do a Google search).

Kazaa is the best P2P because it utilizes a complete different download model. Everyone logged into the software is being used as a "node" (this is unless you choose to not be a node".

As far as your download being slow goes, your download varies greatly on the server uploading it to you. The amount of hops and net traffic greatly dictates what speeds you will achieve. So in other words, if your download is slow, it just might not be because of your connection.

donkey is good for finding stuff...but slow downloads(even with cable modem)
if you're using morpheus or grokster, look for morpheusx
it's a download accelerator for these programs: you set a number of minutes, and then every x minutes, it looks for more sources, and downloads from multiple users simultaneously...it works pretty well

I checked the Edonkey forums---and I'm very confused. Some people have so many problems, for others its a downloaders paradise. I don't know what to do ?

I got a lot of stuff from Edonkey (Software and movies) But lately I can't seem to connect for some reason.
The down side about Edonkey is that People can upload the file that your'e currently downloading of your hard drive and you can't kill it like Grokster or Winmx. You set the upload limit but it also limit your download limit also. It's fair I guess but it sucks if you have slow connection.
