    WinDVD/Power DVD Screencaps

HI i wondered if you could help me.
I have both WinDVD and PowerDVD and have always used one or the other to get great captures from my DVD footage.
However now they are just coming out streaky with lines all over like motion lines.

Has anyone any idea what is causing this? I have been through the help for both programs and it is no help whatso ever

    1) Have you, for some reason, turned off Hardware Acceleration?

    2) Have you made any system changes recently?

    3) have you installed any new video-related software lately?

        Are you pausing before capturing?

No I don't pause because i like to get quite a quick sequence of caps. I could do that before and they would be crisp.

Is it only ONE PARTICULAR DVD that presents this problem?

              A-HA!!
I hadn't actually thought to try out a selection of DVDs but it seems that it must be the brand of discs that i am using.

I have now tried a few bought DVD movies and they don't seem to have a problem at all and are giving perfect captures.

I have also tried a selection of my own home-made DVDs and it seems to be one particular brand is causing the problem.

Thanks for your help in helping me suss this one out. I will have to make sure i stick to the one brand that works.
