Only Sound In Background

I COPY DVD (CLOSER) SUCCESSFULLY ONTO DVD-R (radius) WITH DVD SHRINK & DVD DECRYPTER AND BURN WITH NERO 6. I GET A GOOD PICTURE BUT ONLY A BACKGROUND SOUND. I DON'T HEAR OR BARLEY HEAR THE ACTORS TALKING. YOU ONLY HEAR THE MUSIC TO THE MOVIE PLAYING. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME BURNING A MOVIE. BY THE WAY, I HAVE A BOSE 123 DVD PLAYER. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

HIya Harry. Does the original DVD play OK on your system?

DVD Shrink does nothing to the sound tracks that you keep. They are copied byte for byte onto your backup disk.

Sounds like your system may be making its best effort to play the DTS audiotrack of "Closer". Unless you DEselected the other audiotracks when you used DVD Shrink, try going to the movie's Menu screen and select "Languages" - and select the 5.1 audiotrack, or press the "Audio" or "Language" button on your remote control and do the same.

plays on my pc (gateway entertainment center)

the movie that I copied plays perfectly on my pc just the sound is missing when playing on my dvd (bose 123).
by the way, while decrypting there are no numbers or letters indicating what the decryption status is. it only says "no encryption".

Is it hooked up to an audio system. if so, check both the connections and the setup

Under DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink (after having used DVD Decrypter?
Are you copying an ORIGINAL, COMMERCIAL DVD?
