    Windows Media Problem

    recently i have been unable to move the seek bar on WM for some of my mpg files...does anyone know what may be the problem...thanks!

    Hi! It is the video file itself that has the problem.
    The header of the file is missing or it has errors.
    A way to fix that is to use a video repairing tool like "ASF-AVI-RM-WMV Repair" or something like it.
    It will fix your files!

      As an experiment, try and play the mpeg files in an alternate software player such as "WinDVD", "PowerDVD", or "BSPlayer". Does it exhibit the same problem? Also, with version of WMP are you using?

        i tried using windvd and an error box appears that just says "IVIPLA~1"...this problem only occurs with some files...i can move the seek bar with a number of mpgs files.

          Then those files are most likely "Corrupt".
