Just to let anyone interested know. I have puchased a Zenith DVB318 dvd player which will play 720p and 1080i thru the Y Pr B connections. If your T.V. or Projector is not HDCP compliant it will drop the resolution down to 480i or 480p. HDCP is turned on by the detection of copyright protection. I have made backups to the movies I already own and spread them over multiple discs as not to shrink them (Using DvdShrink's re-author Mode) and this player will then play the Dvd's at 1080i ( The Thunderbirds, lord of the Rings for example). my lcd projector is not hdcp compliant (SanyoPlcxw-15} but gladlyaccepts the signal. Also the projector is 25 feet away from myDvd player which would make DVI impractical. At 80" the picture looks great. Very few Dvdplayers will output thru the Y Pr B conections and I wonder if this is an anamoly or a trend.
