I'm still new can you suggest another Freeware program? I have used DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. I have SonicRecord Now on my computer but I can only use it for an Exact Copy or an .ISO file (remember from my earlier post I have tried to burn the .ISO file from SonicRecord Now but I got the same results that I get with DVD Decrypter. The DVD will Burn with no errors but will not play on PC or standalone).

"chulett" is seeking a freeware burning program that's capable of burning files (not limited to .ISOs) because I suggested earlier in this thread that "chulett" try using DVD Decrypter to save in "File" mode instead of "ISO" mode...

In the feature description of this program is stated:

'Writes all kind of mediums apart from double-layer DVD (follows in next version). Burning video-DVDs is limited.'

The only way to know is to try. I downloaded and installed the program. I have now burned my first DVD (and I can play it also) in 'file mode' with this program - so it works.

A very easy program to use and it's also made in Sweden.

Thanks for the suggestion. Before reading this I uninstalled DVD Decrypter and the .ISO file from my PC. I re-installed DVD Decrypter am in the process of burning my DVD again. If that does not work I will try this new program. I'll let you all know what happens. Thanks again.

Just curius - could you post that burning log you will end up with from DVD Decrypter?

Yes! Below is my log F.Y.I. This burn would not play either. I tried to play it on my P.C. and Standalone. The log was a good idea even I did not get any errors perhaps you or someone else will see something that will help....P.S. I set my my write speed to 4x which is different from previous times I have attempted to burn the disk where I burned on max.

How do you play (or try) your burned discs in your PC?

I am not quite sure how to download it and install it to my burner. I am also not sure which one is the correct upgrade for me would it be TEAC DV-W58E - D0JA, D0NA Windows, D0JA DOS
(Known Firmware: 2.0B)
Beta region free (RPC-1) firmware is available here. There is a D0JA, D0NA Windows, D0JA DOS or Beta region free? I believe it would be D0NA Windows, but how do I save it to the correct place? (I'm reading through the site for instructions but I welcome your advise)

I have tried to play the burned disks on Dell Media Experience on PC. I have also tried Media Player. The .ISO image will play on Media Experience when I mount it to Daemon Tools I just cant get the burn to play.

You should be able to play the ISO file in Windows Media Player. Rightclick on the ISO file and select open with and then browse to Windows Media Player.

DONA is the one you should install.

Close down all other programs
Don't have a disc in your burner
Run the file
Restart your PC

Thanks I have not tried that but I have seen that in other posts. I really need to get to the bottom of the failure of these disks. I am still reviewing the firmware website I have found that the FW update is a BETA version have you heard of anyone who has tried it yet?
