DVD playback video is neon and blocky

I have a dvd .img mounted on a virtual drive. When I try to play it back in PowerDVD or WMP10, the audio works fine, but the video comes out neon, choppy and pixellated. I've uploaded a screen shot at the following location:



Any help would be great.

Sounds like your system's video playback properties have the Brightness control set too high...

I installed VLC media player and it works fine with it...the other players still don't work though, but at least I now have video.

The (freeware) VideoLan player is quite remarkable, isn't it?
