just bought a new chrysler and it has a a 6 disk dvd player can not get it to play any of my backups using sony verbatum and hp and fujiflim + - and rw they all work on other player in the house any help would be appriciated thanks in advance

Chances are it doesn't play any format besides commercial DVD's. The only thing I can recommend is use a +R disc, and set the book type to "DVD-ROM".

just tried an comp usa -r one i had i beleive burnt at 8x and it worked only brand so far i have few of these will try the others when i get home

okey have found philips 8x-r works hp4x+r sometimes hp8x+r burnt at 2x no fujifilm16x-r burn at 2 4 6 x no hp rw+8x rw no why so much differance in + an - is it the dyes seems that the purple works best. thanks

more update now have found if i leave the dvd in after about 1 to minuites it finilly recognize it and starts to play. If i dont remove it it will start up right where i left off right away. why anybody know why?

it's likely the media you are using. my standalone will "remember" where it last played too on start-up, so it must be a feature it has.
