powerdvd 6 corrupted playback....

Hello there,

I have a dvd-rom drive on my pc and a sony dru-500a dvd-rewriter. I can playback dvds (commercial and burned) on the dvd rom using Media Player 10 and PowerDVD 6.

I can also play back commercial and burned dvds on the dru-500a using Windows Media Player 10. But, for some reason, I get playback corruption if I try and play dvds on the sony drive using powerdvd 6. I had this problem with PowerDVD 4XP, patched it, uninstalled, installed PowerDVD6 instead, patched it....still the same.

Any suggestions?

Sure can...

With hardware acceleration disabled -



and enabled -



But it plays fine from my other dvd-rom drive using powerdvd 6!

Hmmmm, that is odd. Basically I would say it is some sort of driver/software conflict between the Sony software installed for the drive and PowerDVD 6.
