watching movies on TV using burner

    Hey guys,

I got a question for you, as usual. Well, I have a Sony DRX-710UL Burner and I was wondering if it is possible to hook it up to my TV, so I could watch movies using the burner, instead of my lousy DVD player.

Anyone know how to do this or if not, do you know any websites that explain the process?

    Thanks

i believe a tuner card would do the trick, that has "video out". if you don't have one i think it wouldn't be worth doing...

Your video card should have a video out, they almost all do... just plug it in your tv video in, and the line out of your audio card in the audio in of the tv.

Then you have to configure windows for multiple displays in the display properties.

As simple as that, everything on your pc monitor will also show on your tv when in A/V mode.

You can even modulate the A/V out of your computer to an available frequency (channel), then you combine it whit your incoming tv signal (antenna, cable, satelite....). This way, your pc display is available on all the tv's in the house. If you want to push it further, you can control your pc from anywhere in the house with an RF remote control like the SNAPSTREAM FIREFLY or the ATI REMOTE WONDER. (RF is very important if you want it to work through the walls). This is a bit more complex but if you want I can give the details, I'm using this setup.

I hope I understood your question right...
