I am currently a newbie to recording movies. Anyways, i backed up a movie of mine "Encino Man" and everything went fine. It plays, the menus work all is well.

The problem is, during the first two and a half minutes there is a movie icon in the top right hand corner of the screen. Nothing during the previews or on the menu or anything like that. It only comes up during the movie and for the first 2:30 minutes.

I dont want to backup all my movies and see this each time. So if you know anything I can do that would be great.

what software/s did you use. are they trial versions

Sounds as either a "Watermark Logo" as tigerman8u is suggesting I think or a on screen icon like you get when the DVD has multiple angles. If it is the latter, then it is a setting inside the DVD player.

Hi!

It's very likely, as jmet said, the multiangle indicator. If the movie is not truly multiangle, you probably chose to turn off VOB PUOs, which I read in other posts can sometimes falsely generate this icon.

Ashes (and jmet) have got it right. Probably the first chapter has angles (perhaps they have different languages in the opening credits). You have ripped the DVD and have removed VOB PUOs.

If you did this DVD in DVD Shrink, uncheck the remove PUOps preference.
