What's the best DvD player software?

Hi guys, I'm currently facing some problem w. this WinDvD player.
I installed MPC and was extremely unsatisfied from its' terrible DvD playback quality.
What's the consensus on a reasonable player?

'media player classic' is easily the best player out there, completely free, and i am quite sure, will give the highest possible quality when tweaked , and similar quality to powerdvd/windvd by default. what difference (other than colour levels) do you notice between mpc and your regular software player?

if you'd prefer something else, you might like to try 'powerdvd'...

I just think it's the best. I also use Nero CD DVD Speed (freeware) instead of DVDInfoPro, as I can't stand ads in software and it does as good a job.

Glad to hear you like some things from Nero :ritfl:. As I mentioned before I use DVDIdentifier for DVD info as the manufacturers database is always updated. Nero Cd Speed results for a media I just got to try that were on sale:
