Have you tried the film on another player.?
I am thinking along the lines that you may have a password set on your player for the certificate type.
For example some dvd players can have a lock put on them for say films with an 18 certificate so as your children can not play them.
Have a look at your players manual to see if this could be a possibility. -
Does it play OK in your PC's software player? What is the exact message you are getting?
