DVD-R wont play on DVD Player

I just recorded a DVD of my home movies i recently downloaded from my Video Camera to my PC then sucessfully burned the movies using CyberLink -PowerProducer 2 Gold. I tested it on my PC and it was fine. When i inserted the DVD-R disk into my DVD player i get "No Disk".

Any ideas ?

media type is the brand of disc you are using Memorex, Verbatim etc.. and what is the brand of the player? Sony etc....

what is the make and model# of the dvd player?

and you can load the disc in dvd decrypter to find out the media ID code.

Media type i am using is TDK
DVD Player is Panasonic didnt catch the Model # i'll recheck

This was the case with my DVD player. It was too old. I needed to buy a DVD player that has the capability of playing burned media. What year was the player made in?
