Movie Stops after 1 Hour

Hi I'm new to your forum, but have burn a lot of movies and feel pretty comfortable doing it. My problem is this. I have had a lot of movies start breaking up and then locking up after about of hour of playing. I put the same movie back in later at the same spot and it works fine. Can the cause of this be Heat. I was wondering if the disc get hots it will corupt the data. I am using Memorex DVD-R at 4x burn speed. The burns go fine with DVD Shrink and DVD Decrpyt and Nero, all latest versions. Any thoughts on this matter.

why dont you do a scan with cd- speed check to see how good the quality are? I have alot of memorex that I have to reburn them. Many pp here like memorex but I dont. You may try verbatim or tayo yuden
