Can't get windvd7 to work properly...

I got windvd7 platimun and i'm having some trouble...

I wanted to play DVDs which are located in my hard disk, so i chose play dvd from folder but windvd says that they're not valid dvd files which i'm pretty sure they are since i have played them with other software.
It did play a couple of the DVDs in my hdisk but it was without audio.
I also managed to play another movie, but i had to drag and drop each VOB file separately in the playlist. That particular movie was the only one that i could hear the audio... i assume because it was the only one with DTS.

I hope this makes sense... any help appreciated...

my setup is athlon 1800xp 768ram ati radeon 9600pro winXPpro sp2

just open the "VIDEO_TS.IFO" file with windvd

or better yet, use "media player classic" to play instead

I appreciate that you took the time to answer my post, but your reply isn't really helpful... opening the VIDEO_TS.IFO file was a pretty obvious option and i already tried that....
I could find plenty of software dvd players on the net... i just wanted to make this to work because i have a movie with DTS audio that i can't watch it with the ones i tried.
