I'm using Windows Media Player v8.0 on Windows XP and DVD's I play have a really high contrast, i.e. they're really bright - things that are supposed to be black appear grey etc, and it generally looks a bit weird.
I assume, as Windows Media Player uses another software decoder on your system as it doesn't have one of its own, that its using my copy of PowerDVD (v4 XP) as this is the only DVD playback software I have. However, DVD's appear fine in PowerDVD, no over-contrast at all.
Has anyone got any idea what could be causing this, or a possible solution to the problem?
