need Recomended dvd player. and recomended file type for starting new dvd collection

Hello, i'm sure somewhere there is information but i'm getting tired of looking for it.

i would like to get a dvd player for my wife so she can watch netflix in the bedroom our current dvd player for the living room is my PS2. though i dont know whats the best player to get

i want a dvd player that can play copies of the dvd i get from netflix i will be starting to make. and be able to play a majoriy of my movie files i have downloaded off the web and put to cd 100 + cdr's right now of just diffrent video's. all in diffrent kinds of formats i probably have every kind. (ie porn on tv bedroom using the dvd player)

also whats the best way to go about copying all the dvd i have comming into my house every day now? a dvd shrink copy of the dvd or convert to divix?.

i would want start my building my collection and keeping everything the same. but what is the best out of the three video/sound quality and ease of use / time requirement per movie copy and media cost. once i get going will be easy to get a few hundred cd's laying around i'v copied

    thanks for the help.
