DVD Bose change region code

Does any one know how to change the region code of DVD Bose Lifestyle 28 from region 1 to 2?
I asked Bose but they refused to answer.

I also need this modification on my Bose 48. I just purchased a system in US which is only capable of playing RC 1. I prefer changing it to RC2 because this is what I need in Europe.
Any hints?

I know this is away from the 'bose' topic, but I NEED help!!! I have a windows XP computer, and I've run out of region changes for the DVD player. I know there's a way to 'recharge' this, or something...I have downloaded 'DVD genie', but it doesn't seem to help!

any success with this region change ? I am about to buy a serie 3 lifestyle system in the us but i will soon move to the Uk. I want to make sure that the change is possible (expensive system...)
