    Good player for general playback

    Hi, I am choosing a good software player for general playback of AVI (DivX, XviD), MPEG2/4, etc.

    I had been using Window Media Player for some time for convenience sake but dissatisfied with its quality. I am choosing between WinDVD and PowerDVD. I used WinDVD before, now using WinDVD7. Haven't tried PowerDVD.

    I used WMP becuase it has a very nice feature of displaying the CD cover whenever I inserted an audio CD and it searched and found a match from its CD database. WinDVD7 seems don't have this feature. Am I right ?

    I also heard that WinDVD give better audio quality while PowerDVD gives better video quality. Is this true. Any comment on it ?

    Any other good suggestion ? I want one player to play all media files (AVI, MPEG, DivX, XviD, etc.) and disc types (Audio CD, VCD, DVD; DVD has the highest priority). Thanks in advance.

      You may want to look at Media Player Classic.
