Burn CD for DivX playback in DVD player

My roommate has a Panasonic SC-DK10 DVD Player, the manual says it supports DIVX.

I've already used Easy DivX to rip the dvd, not sure how to write the CD. Any ideas on how I would burn my DIVX CD to have a chance that the DVD Player will play it back?

I would try a VCD but the manual didn't mention anything about VCD.

my mistake. the dvd player will do VCD and not DIVX..... I guess I'll work on burning a VCD instead.
