Losing sound when playing DVD's on PowerDVD 3.0

This problem bugs the h*ll out of me...

Whenever I watch DVD's the sound disappears approx. 12 min within the movie.
Then I have to restart PowerDVD and continue...

Has anyone have an idea to what I shall/can do?

PIII 933 MHz
256 MB ram
32 MB Geforce 2
ESS Maestro soundcard

Try using other software to play DVDs - and see if you have the same problem. If you do, then you'll know it's NOT a PowerDVD problem. If you don't, then you'll know that it IS a PowerDVD problem...

well it works but...

I've tried to install WinDVD 3.0, and it's able to play the movie, but then I'm suddenly not able to access all the extra stuff on the DVD...
