Features in WMP 11 for XP:

* New UI
* Support for better synchronization for portable devices
* Album “stacks” of album art
* Indexed libraries with search-as-you-type features
* User controlled downgrade of quality for DRM content to allow for smaller files
* DRM content will contain metadata that shows what the user is allowed to do with the file
* Includes Microsoft and MTV’s Urge music store

i'll be taking a look at it no doubt, but "using" is such a strong word

imho they've been focusing too much on the music (and pseudo-adware) part of wmp

i know what you mean. i quit using it altogether. i use MPC and powerdvd only at the moment.

I tend to use real player. It came loaded on my computer. I find the controls user friendly. Maybe just cause i got used to it. Anyone know how this app compares to say power dvd?
